Ubuntu 6.10 the Edgy Eft released

Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft, one of the most popular Linux distributions have now released a new version. You should easily be able to upgrade you current installation by changing dapper to edgy by running

sudo sed -e ‘s/\sdapper/ edgy/g’ -i /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

It has built-in AIGLX for all your eye-candy needs and lots of other changes, such as Firefox 2.0 and other new versions of software is included.

Update: Note that the Ubuntu website has not been completely updated yet, so if your are trying to download an ISO you might have to wait a few hours. Check this spot later for the official announcement.
